 Jerry Jones and the Jerry Jones Ministries!
"Barstools and Church Pews" #1 spot on the New York Music Review Chart! Congratulations Jerry! Jerry was named "Spotlight Artist" for Southern Gospel.Com Internet Magazine in September of 2007. The songs, "Get Behind Me" and "God's Soldiers" (God's Soldiers written by Carol Collins) both received #1 status in the months of August and September of 2007, thus giving Jerry this award. Jerry released his next song, "Read the Word" and IT hit the #1 spot in The New York Music Review! This is quite an honor to receive! Soon after, Jerry wrote another song, "Barstools and Church Pews." When that song was released, it continued to climb the charts until it hit #1 on several charts, one being The New York Music Review! And Jerry has numerous other songs which can be found on his "music" page that since they've been released have seen chart action. Jerry is no doubt, and award winning, anointed, and gifted songwriter! And his voice has also been anointed and gifted, so that he can do what he loves most... go out and serve the Lord. He wants to make a difference in this world... to touch others with the gift of song, and plant seeds in hearts all the while!
It hasn't always been that way for Jerry though! Jeannie spent 23 years praying for Jerry to come to know the Lord! Well...God had a plan alright! It's been nearly 6 years now, and Jerry Jones has gone from a "new Christian" to a Minister of music and people...traveling the country to spread the good news!
Jerry has played the guitar since he was ten years old! From the time he was 18 til the time he was 55 he played in night clubs, bars, etc... anywhere he could find a place to play.... he was in a very dark place in his life. Today, he travels the country trying to help others see there's a better way to live, and find joy every day! Today, Jerry plays his guitar only to write songs. He says he can't play and sing at the same time, because it will take his attention off of the words that he wants so desperately for others to hear. Jerry will still come anywhere that he's invited to sing... festivals, homecomings, meetings... it makes no difference to him. If he's invited, he'll come and share his gift of song! In fact, Jerry and Jeannie are even members of the Christian Motorcycle Association! This is a National Association that was organized by a group of people who loved riding motorcycles, and didn't know the Lord! Once they came to know the Lord, it became obvious that they needed to spread the good news of Jesus to their fellow biker friends, and also show the world that God will touch you no matter where you are! And your life will be changed!
JUST LIKE JERRY JONES' WAS!  Jeannie Jones and the Jerry Jones Ministries! Jeannie travels with Jerry wherever they go. She is the coordinater of the Ministry, and Jeannie is also a certified Lay Minister. As they travel to different places, Jeannie gives her testimony of how "God turns all things out for good to those who love Him." She goes on to describe the miraculous way God led her and Jerry to where they are today, serving Him with all their hearts.
Jeannie has felt a very special call to Women's Ministries for a long time, and in 2009 she decided to act on it. She now has her OWN ministry, titled "Caring Heart Ministry: Counseling, Listening, Praying......for Women." Her kind way of offering encouragment and love gives hope to those still praying for a loved one, or someone who may be broken and just need that comforting word or prayer. With Jeannie's education in Human Services combined with her certification in Ministry, the Lord seems to flow right through her in a very gentle and yet powerful way as she reaches out to those in need. Sometimes you'll even find Jeannie singing a song or two with Jerry! Make no mistake about it though, Jeannie travels to support her husband, as that is what the Lord has called her to do first. She received salvation 29 years ago when she and Jerry had first met, and prayed for over 23 years for Jerry to find the Lord ! This is a woman who knows the balance that the Lord expects from her. She doesn't stand behind her husband...or in front. Jerry and Jeannie Jones STAND SIDE BY SIDE!
