About Jerry Jones
Jerry Jones, a native Marylander now traveling countrywide, is fairly new to Country Gospel music, and a new Christian. Jerry has sung for the world most of his life, but at the age of 56, just five years ago, gave his heart to God and now uses his beautiful voice only for Him. Since his salvation he has experienced a tremendous growth in his music that he credits to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In 2004, 2005, and 2006 Jerry was awarded "Male Vocalist of the Year" and "Songwriter of the Year" for the Eastern United States by the Country Gospel Music Association. He was also nominated for International Male Vocalist and Songwriter of the year in Branson, Missouri, in 2004, 2005, and 2006, which includes 30 states, and went on to receive the award of "International Songwriter of the Year" in Branson, Missouri, in October 2005. He has shared his songs on the television show "Music City Gospel Showcase" out of Nashville, Tennessee, where he was nominated for " Male Vocalist of the Year", and also on the Gospel Music Television Network in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Jerry's song "Calvary" entered the Country Gospel Chart at number 24 in March of 2005 and climbed to number 4 in May of 2005. He has charted several other songs in the top 40 and had a number one song, "Read The Word" on the Music Review Chart, New York, New York, in December 2007. God has definitely annointed his music!
Jeannie, Jerry's wife of 28 years, is the coordinator for their Ministry and travels with Jerry, giving her testimony about how "God turns all things out for good to those who love Him", giving hope to those still praying for a loved one, and describing the miraculous way God led them to where they are, serving Him with all their hearts. She had just received Salvation when they met 29 years ago and prayed for Jerry's Salvation for 23 years of their married life. Jerry has just completed his 7th CD. He has written seventeen Gospel songs. They are in full-time Ministry. They have two sons and three grandchildren. God has truly blessed Jerry and Jeannie with kind and loving people who have stood by them to see to it that His work is carried out. They give God all the glory!
